Carving

<a ref=”https://dailypost.wordpress.com/dp_prompt/immortalized-in-stone/”>Immortalized in Stone</a>

Your personal sculptor is carving a person, thing or event from the last year of your life. What’s the statue of and what makes it so significant?

Last year? Easily the most significant event in th last 12 months was having a hip replacement operation. It took a long time to decide to go for it, but I haven’t regretted my decision.

I suppose the sculpture would have to be a model of the hip bone and prosthesis like they had in the entrance to the hospital.

I can’t think where this sculpture would go. Hardly appropriate to have it on the sideboard.  Perhaps at the bottom of our garden tastefully hidden by the shrubbery?

I am a poet, therefore I am crazy - see Shakespeare "the lunatic, the lover and the poet..." I also write plays and stories and do the press reports for my local WI. I ride a recumbent trike, a Hase Kettwiesel - I love it!
